Think picking fruit in the woods. Cherries, plums, earth and all.
This vineyard was the property of the Cardinal of Richelieu during 1585 - 1642, whose advisors judged it necessary to increase the number of vines planted on this vine-covered hillside, in order to satisfy the thirst of the residents of the newly-built town of Richelieu during the period of 1850 to 1900, this estate comprised of 60 hectares of vines. New cellars were then built. The Plouzeau family purchased the estate in 1973, and François Plouzeau took over the running of the now 20 hectare estate in 1985.
