Berceau Des Fees
CHENIN BLANC - 2016
Apple, quince and wild flowers. Full, crisp and complex!
The mother and daughter team of Monique and Tessa La Roche have been making wine on this estate since 1981.
This is young vine Chenin Blanc grown on sandstone and clay soils on a property in Savannieres, not far from the main property in Anjou. Le Berceau des Fees (Cradel of Fairies) refers to the row of trees that border this particular property. Bright, floral, energetic and pure, the grapes are fermented in tank using wild yeasts, then rested on lees until gentle racking before being bottled with minimal sulfur.
